Video: Texas A&M Coach Kevin Sumlin Gives First Game Ball Of The Year To Kicker Josh Lambo

Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin is usually pretty pumped up after Aggies games, but he was especially excited after his team was able to score 10 points in the final four minutes of last night’s affair against Ole Miss on the road to eke out a 41-38 victory in Oxford. And while Johnny Manziel put on another dazzling performance, Sumlin took an untraditional approach when handing out the first “game ball” of the year, opting to go with “the guy who won the damn game”. He gave it to his kicker, Josh Lambo, who was able to hit a 33-yard field goal for the win as time expired.

As Sumlin mentions, Lambo is a former professional soccer goalkeeper who joined the team in 2012. Pretty impressive.
