Report: Missouri Hiring Huntington Prep Coach Rob Fulford As Assistant Basketball Coach

According to reports, new Missouri basketball coach Kim Anderson has made a very intriguing assistant coaching hire, adding Huntington Prep head coach Rob Fulford to his staff.

Huntington Prep is a premiere pipeline school for top-level basketball talent. The school lists former Louisville center Gorgui Dieng, NBA Draft No. 1 pick hopeful Andrew Wiggins, and numerous other D1 prospects as alumni. More importantly, for Missouri, the school currently has multiple members of the 2015 ESPN Top 100 on the roster—five star recruits Thomas Bryant and Montaque Gill-Caesar. Fulford instantly gives Missouri credibility with those players.

One of the major questions about Anderson was his ability to transition to high-major level recruiting. The Fulford hire shows that he certainly knows what he’s doing in that regard.
