Photo: Gary Pinkel Reveals Missouri’s Special Helmets For Cotton Bowl

The Missouri Tigers fell just short of winning the SEC a few weeks ago, but they still have an awesome bowl matchup of ahead of them to look forward to as they take on Oklahoma State in the AT&T Cotton Bowl on Friday. For the big game, Mizzou let its fans vote on the uniform combination that the players would wear — they decided to go with gold jerseys and black pants

The Tigers equipment staff did have one trick left in the bag, however — Mizzou will be wearing a brand new helmet for the game. The team has worn some pretty nice helmets all year, but they have opted for the matte black look. That will change against the Cowboys — there’s going to be some shine on the new lids:
