There wasn’t anything pretty about Saturday afternoon for Mizzou. It lost to Alabama 42-10 in a game that featured a second quarter weather delay because of heavy rain and lightning. After play resumed, most of the crowd was gone because fans were forced to evacuate the stadium.

There was a play late in the fourth quarter, however, that is worth talking about. Alabama defensive lineman LaMichael Fanning body slammed and dropped Missouri running back Russell Hansbrough on his head. On the next two plays, Tigers offensive linemen Max Copeland, Brad McNulty and Evan Boehm took exception. Here is a video of the sequence:

The hit by Fanning was a dirty play, especially in that situation with the game out of reach. It was great to see the Tigers go after Fanning and make sure he’s pays the price.
