ESPN Stats & Information’s 2014 SEC Projections: Alabama 23 Percent Chance To Win SEC, South Carolina 17 Percent
Alabama is the overwhelming favorite to win the SEC this fall, according to ESPN. The Worldwide Leader’s Stats and Information department released Tuesday projections for the 2014 college football season.
The Crimson Tide, according to the projections, have a 22.6 percent chance to win the conference. Next in line: South Carolina–17 percent, Georgia–17 percent, Auburn–16 percent.

Of all the projections, the most surprising seem to be:
- Alabama only has a four percent chance to go undefeated and is projected to win 9.9 games
- Auburn is projected to win every game but the Iron Bowl, but has just the fourth-best odds to win the conference
- LSU is projected to win eight games, with just a 4.6 percent chance of winning the SEC
