Breaking: Missouri’s 2013 Conference Schedule Released

The SEC announced the conference schedule on Thursday afternoon. There is a lot to look at but let’s take a closer look at the Missouri schedule:

The Tigers start their conference schedule with trips to Vanderbilt and Georgia on October 5th and 12th, respectively. After that there are three straight home games on three straight Saturdays. The home games will be against Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee, in that order. The week after, Missouri plays Kentucky in Lexington to wrap up its SEC East schedule.

The SEC West crossovers are interesting because Arkansas isn’t included. It was expected that the Razorbacks would be the Tigers permanent crossover but they won’t be at least in 2013. Instead Missouri plays away at Ole Miss, which is a school known for their tailgating-  so great news for Mizzou fans who want to travel. Missouri will play Texas A&M in Columbia to wrap up the regular season on November 30. Will the Aggies be the new permanent SEC crossover for the Tigers?

Right now, Missouri has non conference games scheduled on August 31 (vs. Murray State), September 7 (vs. Toledo) and September 21 (at Indiana). The Tigers will schedule one more non conference game on September 14, September 28 or November 16. This means the Tigers will have two bye weeks in the 2013 season. Mizzou might want to schedule the other game on one of the two days in September because they will play six SEC games in as many weeks before November 16.
