Report: Ole Miss’ Marshall Henderson Suspended Indefinitely

Update 2: CBS Sports’ Gary Parrish just reported that the issue concerns a failed drug test. Disappointing, if true.

Update: The school also released a statement from coach Andy Kennedy, though it’s not very revealing.

“Since the season ended, we have talked a lot about Marshall taking a greater leadership role with our team. With that comes greater responsibility, and he must do a better job of living up to the high standard we expect from him and he desires from himself.”

Earlier: Ole Miss men’s basketball fan favorite Marshall Henderson has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules. The school made the announcement this afternoon:

There is no word yet on exactly what Henderson did, but we do know that just a few weeks ago someone at Ole Miss tried to send him a “warning” about his use of Twitter. We will keep you updated as we learn more.
