It was inevitable: at some point this season, ESPN’s College GameDay simply had to visit Tuscaloosa — Alabama is undoubtedly the premier program in college football right now, and watching the Tide play at home is something to behold. Today, the defending champs host LSU in an SEC battle that seems to have title implications every seasonn.

Fans in Columbus and Waco are sporting purple and gold, hoping for somebody to knock off the Crimson Tide and send the BCS standings into chaos — LSU appears to be the most likely remaining candidate to get Alabama that first loss. It’s never easy to win at Bryant-Denny Stadium, but with The Mad Hatter on the sidelines, you never know what can happen. In short, we should be in for an excellent game.
