Hip-hop songs about athletes, both professional and college, are nothing new, and now former Kentucky wing James Young has joined the club of those who has a song written about him. Junebug Hendrix dropped the track “Jimmy Buckets” today, about the Wildcats star. It’s not too heavy on the overt references to Young’s career, although it does cite his shooting touch, and his night at the Brooklyn Nets game with Rihanna. The general theme is that Young is about to go from “living on a budget” to having everything “first class”, which is probably accurate. Young is projected as a mid-first rounder, and may be a lottery pick.
