Report: Harrison Twins, James Young Remain Academically Ineligible For Kentucky
At the end of June, James Young, Andrew Harrison and Aaron Harrison came to Lexington for a long weekend to be with the Kentucky basketball team. But they didn’t stay. The three McDonald’s All-Americans are the only UK basketball players that haven’t moved to campus yet. The rest of the team has been taking summer classes at UK and has been participating in individual summer workouts.
Why? Well, the three remain academically ineligible.
Talked w another assistant coach today about how Andrew Harrison, Aaron Harrison & James Young haven’t been cleared academically yet. #BBN

But according to Kentucky Sports Radio’s Matt Jones, that’s because they graduated late.
The Twins aren’t on campus because they graduated late and they haven’t yet been cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse. But that is not a reason for concern. There are other UK players who have not yet been cleared, including at least one that is on campus.
The key word in Jerry Meyer’s tweet is “yet”. According to The Courier-Journal’s Kyle Tucker, a UK spokesperson said that all the players are expected to be on campus for the fall semester.
FYI, checked back with UK on Harrison twins and James Young. Spokesman: “We expect to have all our signees on campus for the fall semester.”

We have a little over a month to find out whether or not these three will be eligible — classes for UK’s fall semester start August 28th. We’ll keep you updated when more information is released.
