Photo: Kentucky Coaching Staff Sends Braxton Berrios 104 Handwritten Letters
For the first time in years, the University of Kentucky has been soaring when it comes to football recruiting. The Wildcats are currently ranked third in Rivals’ national team rankings for the class of 2014. So what’s the secret? Why are so many recruits eager to play for a program that only won two games in 2012? We have seen an aggressive style of recruiting that Mark Stoops and his coaching staff have been utilizing that seems to be paying off — lots and lots of handwritten mail.
The Wildcats coaching staff has already sent Darius West 62 letters, Matt Elam 182 letters, and they sent Blake Bone letters changing the famous “BBN” acronym. Oh, and we can’t forget that Stoops sent ESPN’s Colin Cowherd 50 letters after he made fun of UK’s recruiting tactic.
Today, the Wildcats are at it again — this time, 4-star wide receiver Braxton Berrios from North Carolina was the one with a full mailbox. The UK coaching staff sent Berrios 104 handwritten letters — check it out:

Nothing says “We want you” like a whooping 104 blue and white letters.
