Kentucky’s AD Thinks John Calipari Will End His Career With The Wildcats

Kentucky head basketball coach John Calipari has bounced around a few times in his coaching career. Calipari has had stints at the University of Massachusetts, the University of Memphis, Kentucky, and the NBA’s New Jersey Nets in his more than 20-year career. He is also a coach whose names comes up whenever there is a coaching vacancy in the NBA, with Calipari most recently being tied to the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier this summer.

However, ever since Calipari came to Lexington in 2009, he has shot down every rumor that involves him leaving. Today, Kentucky Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart says that he thinks that will continue to happen, and that Coach Cal will end his career in Lexington.

You can’t blame Barnhart for wanting to keep Calipari around, as he’s a fantastic coach who has made three Final Fours in five years with an NCAA Title. Calipari is also an amazing recruiter and has been a great representative for the University. Fortunately for Barnhart, based on his coaches’ actions ever since coming to Lexington, it appears that Calipari also wants to end his career at Kentucky.
