Coach Cal On Twitter: I Wish I Didn’t Get Thrown Out Of The Game”

While we wouldn’t quite call this an apology, it does seem that Kentucky’s John Calipari is showing some remorse after getting ejected during the second half of the Wildcats’ loss to South Carolina Saturday. Cal took to Twitter after the game (despite skipping the post-game media session) to give fans an update on where his head is at. The first thing he mentioned was that he wished he hadn’t gotten thrown out.

Calipari has always been a calculating coach, so when he was tossed, many assumed it was a move meant to inspire his team, which trailed by double-digits much of the second half, down the stretch. In reality, it almost worked, as UK trimmed the lead down to one in the game’s final minute. Regardless, there’s going to be a lot of soul-searching in the UK locker room in the coming days.
