The Weather Channel Trolls Georgia Football On Twitter

The Weather Channel may be based in Atlanta, Georgia, but it doesn’t look like the guys running the network’s social media account really care about ruffling a few feathers when it comes to the state’s largest university. During a bizarre Twitter conversation with fake Bo Pelini account @FauxPelini, whoever is in charge of TWC’s account pulled a pretty nice troll job on the Georgia football program.

For reference, the “heave” mentioned refers to the Cornhuskers’ hail mary play against Northwestern and the “certain team down the road from us” refers to the Georgia Bulldogs, who lost to Nebraska in the Gator Bowl this past season.

A network based in SEC country giving props to a Big Ten football team – what gives? Surely this is a punishable offense.
