Photo: UGA Alum Bubba Watson Shows Off Custom Georgia Bulldogs Golf Shoes At The Farmers Insurance Open

Bubba Watson is looking to get back into the hunt today in the third round of the Farmers Insurance Open — he’s currently sitting nine shots back behind leader Jordan Spieth. He’s also looking to try to win the University of Georgia, his alma mater, a little bit of cash — as part of the PGA Tour’s University Day, “the player with the lowest third-round score will receive $10,000 for his alma mater’s golf team, and any player wearing his school colors will have $500 donated in his name to his school’s golf program.”

Watson has already earned the smaller prize for his school, showing off custom Georgia-themed Oakley shoes today:

Watson has never been shy when it comes to representing the Bulldogs — this past college football season, he appeared on ESPN’s College GameDay as a guest picker while the show was in Athens.
