Georgia’s Mark Richt On Running Back Todd Gurley: “We’re Gonna Ride That Big Hoss”

The expectations for Todd Gurley this fall are quite high. The Georgia running back is on nearly every Heisman watch list and many project the 6-foot-1 231-pound bruiser to be a first-team All-American. 

Count Georgia coach Mark Richt among the people thinking Gurley will do big things during the 2014 season. 

In 2013, Gurley carried the ball 165 times for 989 yards and 10 touchdowns, despite missing three games. In 2012, he 222 times for 1385 yards and 17 touchdowns. He’s averaged more than six yards per carry during his two-year career in Athens.
