Georgia’s Davin Bellamy Apologizes To Bulldogs Fans After DUI, Says “I Will Gain Your Trust Back”

Early Saturday morning, Georgia linebacker Davin Bellamy was pulled over and eventually arrested for both speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol in Athens. The arrest made for the seventh this offseason of Bulldogs players – an absurd number for head coach Mark Richt to have to deal with. But Saturday afternoon, Bellamy was already informing Georgia fans that he plans to rebound from the mistake and gain their trust back. Check it out:

Clearly overcome by a great deal of support from UGA faithful, Bellamy thanked them.

DUI is a very serious crime, but the obvious hope here is that Bellamy learns from his mistake and makes better decisions in the future. It looks like by admitting the severity of his transgression, he’s already on his way.
