ESPN’s Desmond Howard Predicts Georgia Will Win The SEC, Reach National Title Game

Expectations are high for the Georgia football football team this season. The Bulldogs, ranked No. 12 in the preseason AP Poll, are many people’s pick to win the SEC East.

ESPN’s Desmond Howard thinks Mark Richt’s squad will surpass the expectations.

The World Wide Leader broadcasted a “Season Preview” episode of its “College GameDay” program this morning. At the end of the show, Howard, Kirk Herbstreit, and Lee Corso made predictions for the upcoming season. Howard picked Georgia to win the SEC and reach the national championship game.

Georgia faces a gauntlet of a schedule early this season, opening the year with Clemson before facing South Carolina on the road.

If the Bulldogs are going to achieve elite success this fall, they’ll have to earn it during the season’s first two weeks.

Alabama, Corso and Herbstreit’s selection, is definitely the safer pick.
