Florida D-Lineman Damien Jacobs Believes Gators Have “Like A Five Percent Chance” Of Beating FSU
This Saturday, the Florida State Seminoles travel to Gainesville to take on the Florida Gators in what is typically a huge in-state rivalry game. This year, however, there isn’t much hope on the Gators’ side, particularly coming off of an extremely embarrassing loss to Georgia Southern.
Apparently pessimism isn’t just coming from the fans, but from the Florida players as well. Defensive lineman Damien Jacobs admitted today that upsetting FSU is a longshot:

Truthfully, he’s probably right about the Gators’ slim chances — Florida State is an absolute machine right now, and the Seminoles are going to provide an enormous challenge. That being said, Florida is going to do everything in its power to win by treating this as its bowl game as it looks to end the season on a good note:
Gators RG Jon Halapio says the FSU is their bowl game. “Beating these guys would resolve our whole season.”

That game will air at noon on Saturday — you can tune in on ESPN.
