Video: Panthers’ Cam Newton Talks Auburn Over Alabama, Says “War Eagle” Over And Over

Panthers quarterback Cam Newton had plenty of reasons to celebrate his own play today after a Carolina victory over Tampa Bay in which he scored three touchdowns. However, what he really wanted to talk about after the game was Auburn’s Iron Bowl win over Alabama last night. When asked about his reaction to the ridiculous final play, he broke into a smile:

“Well let’s just say, you know, it was rather exciting to see. Did I say ‘War Eagle?’ War Eagle.

That team is fun to watch, and these past couple weeks, watching those guys get big wins, versus Georgia as well as that other team, was great. And Coach Malzahn is a warrior, he’s a winner. He’s won at every level of football, everywhere he’s been, and I’m not surprised, and you guys shouldn’t be surprised either.”
