Some notable quotes:
Barnett on Saban:
“Coach Saban is an awesome coach and he’s a really nice person as well. He’s an absolute genius when it comes to football. I think that’s what comes off first. Knowing his intelligence about the game, it’s really surprising for a person that didn’t know much about it. I had only spoken to him once before meeting him in person.”
Barnett on his playing style:
“I would say a pocket passer who has an ability to extend the play. I’ve kind of been categorized as a dual-threat, which I don’t really favor too much.”
On what quarterbacks he compares to:
“Johnny Manziel…Marcus Mariota.”
On winning at Alabama:
“That’s the biggest mindset of all college athletes or college football players, I should say. Coming out with a national championship is a big goal for teams and especially Alabama since they have such a tradition of winning.”
On Lane Kiffin:
“Coach Kiffin is awesome. He knows a lot about football. His past doesn’t lack success, with several quarterbacks coming out of USC and into the pros.”
