Vine: Nick Saban, Johnny Manziel Share Awkward Embrace At NFL Draft

Back in 2012, former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel took the first step towards building his legend by knocking off previously undefeated Alabama in Tuscaloosa. It was Manziel’s “Heisman moment”, and it came at the expense of Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban. Saban eventually got revenge the next season, but as they say, the damage was done.

Less than two years later, the two are once again in the same building, though this time, it’s for a much different reason. Manziel is on-hand, hoping he’ll be drafted by an NFL team in the first round. Saban is there to support his former players.

The greeting between the two can only be described with one word – awkward.

Regardless, Saban has always spoke highly of Manziel – including tonight on ESPN. We’ll find out in just an hour or so where Manziel is headed.
