Photo: Alabama May Be Hosting A “Blackout” Game In 2013, With These Black Jerseys
Update 2: According to The Crimson White’s Marc Torrence, Alabama is working on having Fanatics update the text associated with the product. We’re guessing that means no “blackout” game after all – sad.
UA says they are working on getting the text corrected on this item: http://t.co/YjI3JE3mGm

Update: We’re not sure what to make of this, but for the record, there are three new “blackout” jerseys listed on Fanatics – Alabama, Florida State and LSU – all with the same description that implies a “blackout” game in 2013. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Earlier: As if Alabama fans don’t have enough to look forward to for the rest of the 2013 season, now we’re hearing that the Tide may be hosting a “blackout” game in Tuscaloosa as well. The team’s store on Fanatics is selling black jerseys that have the below description:
The Crimson Tide are built for hard-hitting, fast-paced gridiron action, and we know that’s exactly why you love them. Promote your Alabama gear to a level that’ll proudly flaunt your team’s skills and your own team dedication with this special Blackout Nike Limited jersey. Designed in the same styling as the gear your favorite players will wear on the field in the 2013 Blackout Game, it features strategic mesh ventilation, embroidered graphics and a tackle twill player number. Congratulations, you just upped your status to Ultimate Alabama Fan!
Here are the jerseys – they look awesome.
Again, nothing is confirmed here. We’ll keep you updated.
