Nick Saban Says Texas A&M May Be One Of The Best Offenses In The History Of College Football

I don’t know if you’ve heard or not, but there’s going to be a pretty big game taking place in College Station this weekend. Of course, two-time defending champion Alabama is looking to get revenge on Heisman winner Johnny Manziel and Texas A&M, the only program to beat the Crimson Tide on the gridiron last season.

Naturally, the hype for this game has been off the charts. Both teams, however, had tried to downplay the implications and importance of the game as they try to stay focused before the showdown. Today, however, Saban just threw a little fuel on the massive fire of hype with this not-so-subtle quote:

So you’re telling me that the best defensive team in football, which has won three of the past four national titles, is going to try to get revenge against one of the greatest offenses of all time? I guess I’ll tune in.

Just to give a little scope, the Aggies are averaging over 58 points per game in 2013, which is good for fourth in the country. There’s no question that Johnny Manziel is one of the game’s greatest players right now, but I’m not sure if we can call this one of the historically great offenses just yet. However, if A&M can do some damage against Alabama this weekend, Saban’s words just might ring true.
