Katherine Webb Thinks Voters And Analysts Need To Read The Definition Of ‘Heisman’

Katherine Webb knows a thing or two about good football — she has seen her boyfriend, AJ McCarron, excel on the biggest stage in college football and come out victorious, and she also covered the Super Bowl for Inside Edition. Now, she’s seen enough to start campaigning for McCarron to win the Heisman Trophy.

Earlier today, Dee Dee Bonner, McCarron’s mother, tweeted out a link to an article titled “2013 Heisman Trophy Winner By Definition” — the article argued that McCarron meets the exact criteria spelled out for the award. Webb took notice of the link and shared it, along with the comment “Maybe some voters and analysts should read.” Check it out:

Webb later deleted the tweet, although that may actually have been because she was alerted that her tweet was sending too much traffic to the site for it to handle.

Does Webb have a point that McCarron should be included in the Heisman discussion? His numbers are certainly impressive, and his winning is pretty much unmatched, but detractors prefer to label him as a “game manager” and cite the strength of the team around him. Do you think he should be considered?
