Alabama QB A.J. McCarron Claims He Could Hear His Mom Screaming After He Completed A Pass To His Brother
Alabama’s game against Chattanooga earlier Saturday afternoon was a bit of a snoozer – the Tide blanked the Mocs, 49-0, in its final tuneup before the Iron Bowl matchup against Auburn next week. But there was one significant moment during the affair, at least for the McCarron family. Quarterback A.J. completed a pass to his brother, Corey, in the third quarter of the contest. The 3-yard completion was the first catch of the younger McCarron’s career. Apparently their mother, Dee Dee Bonner, was so excited that A.J. could hear her over the rest of the fans in the stadium.

Corey probably won’t get any playing time against Auburn next week or in the subsequent postseason game(s), so this may be the only time the McCarron brothers hook up on the field. Kudos to Mom for being there to see it.
