Alabama Fans Venting On Twitter About Tide Potentially Hiring Lane Kiffin

The college football season may officially be over, but its aftermath is proving to be just as captivating. Earlier today, Michigan fired its offensive coordinator, Al Borges, after three seasons in Ann Arbor. The Wolverines then made a big splash a few hours later, reportedly hiring Alabama’s offensive coordinator, Doug Nussmeier, away from the Tide.

With the new opening in Tuscaloosa, there’s been much speculation that former USC coach Lane Kiffin could seriously be considered for the job. He and Alabama coach Nick Saban have a good relationship.

Well, Alabama fans aren’t exactly thrilled to hear of the possibility. While a small percentage of the fan base seems open to the idea, the majority on Tide supporters on Twitter are asking their program to abstain.

Kiffin’s bizarre antics, along with his on-field failures with the Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Volunteers and USC Trojans, have made him a target for fans and media personnel for years. Perhaps a successful run as Alabama’s OC could change that – or maybe not.
