SEC-haters will love this.
Alabama is self-reporting 27 NCAA secondary rules violations, most of which relate to impermissible communication between coaches and recruits, the Montgomery Advertiser is reporting. While the majority of the violations are simple texts or phone calls, some involve accepting Facebook friend requests before they’re officially allowed.
The school has self-imposed small penalties and taken action to correct the mistakes made. The NCAA does not usually levy sanctions against programs for secondary violations.
