Date: Friday, March 21, 2014

Time: 1:40 PM EST

TV Channel: TBS

Location: Scottrade Center (St. Louis, MO)

Prediction: This is your classic matchup between a mid-major with a gaudy record and a middle-of-the-pack major conference program. Stanford finished with a 10-8 mark in the Pac-12, but had trouble against elite competition most of the year. New Mexico posted a 15-3 record in the Mountain West, but four of its six losses this season were to NCAA Tournament teams. On paper, this one is incredibly close. But we’ll take the Lobos, since they had their hearts broken last year as a 3-seed, losing to Harvard in their first game. That, and Cameron Bairstow is a terror to guard in the post.
