Oregon WR On Former Teammate’s Arrest: “So Sad Man…Dude Has All The Talent In The World”

Late last night, former Oregon Ducks tight end Colt Lyerla was busted by an undercover cop for allegedly possessing and snorting cocaine in a parking lot. He was still on the Oregon team as recently as three weeks ago, but decided to leave early to focus on preparing for the NFL Draft.

The news of Lyerla’s arrest is pretty disappointing — it’s not fun to watch an athlete waste his potential, particularly in such a fast and downward spiral. One of his former teammates, wide receiver Josh Huff, took to Twitter to express his sadness:

I think Huff likely sums up what many others are thinking — this is just a sad situation. Hopefully Lyerla can wake up here and start getting his life back on track.
