Colorado Releases Must-See Inspirational Video: “This One Is For Boulder”

Earlier this season, the Colorado Buffaloes had their game vs. Fresno State postponed after devastating flooding took place in the Boulder area. Over 40 buildings in the area suffered serious water damage in what has since been called the “1000-Year Flood” that dumped over 17 inches of rain on Boulder in the span of week — naturally, football would have to wait.

Understandably, Colorado coach Mike MacIntyre was disappointed that his team wouldn’t get a chance to play that week — the players could have used something to take their minds off of the disaster surrounding them. Not only did they not get to play Fresno State (the game has not yet been rescheduled), but they were forced to practice in a number of different locations, in less than ideal conditions. But MacIntyre praised his guys for their focus and ability to continue to work hard without complaint.

Today, Colorado released a very inspirational video in which MacIntyre talks about the hardship that his team has faced, and how this week’s game against Charleston Southern is dedicated to the city of Boulder — he is counting on his men to raise the spirits of the city around them:

“Life throws you curveballs sometimes, but how you handle it, how you react…you can take the worst, and make it the best.”
