Video: Cal Establishes A Student-Athlete Scholarship In Honor Of Ted Agu

One of the saddest stories of this college football offseason was the tragic passing of Cal junior Ted Agu, a defensive end who collapsed during a supervised training run in early February.

Cal has taken a number of steps to pay tribute to Agu, who was also a pre-med student and a brother in the Omega Psi Phi fraternity, including the establishment of a scholarship for a student-athlete in his name.

During Cal’s spring game, athletic director Sandy Barbour spoke about the new scholarship, which she is working on directly with the Agu family. Anyone interested in donating to the Ted Agu Memorial Scholarship Fund can do so here.
