Arizona State Unveils New Version Of Sparky The Sun Devil Mascot
I guess it was time for a new mascot for Arizona State. Or, at the very least, the university decided to give Sparky the Sun Devil a new look, with the help of some Disney designers, who told everyone what they were striving for:
“The contemporary Sparky character that has been developed by Disney is designed to engage younger audiences. The character will be used in formats such as animation, comic books, and children’s books. It will also be featured on merchandise and apparel.”
Here’s the new version of Sparky that was unveiled today. “New” Sparky won’t make his first public appearance until the Arizona State Spring Football game.
