Where: They will open play against Tennessee in the first round in Dayton. Winner gets UMass in Raleigh on Friday.

Why: Iowa finished the regular season with an 9-9 record in the Big Ten. The Hawkeyes posted notable victories over Ohio State and Michigan during conference play.

Ceiling: Iowa had a decent amount of hype coming into the season, and lived up to it on the offensive end at least. The Hawkeyes topped 80 points nine times in the historically slower Big Ten. They are ranked in the top 12 in the nation in scoring, rebounding, and assists. Defense can be an issue for Iowa, but this is a team that can definitely make a run to the second weekend.
