We May Be Headed Towards A BCS Dream Matchup
After the release of last night’s BCS Standings, it looks like we may be headed towards one of the most anticipated championship matchups of all time. The BCS stars are now aligned for two of the sport’s most iconic programs to clash in Miami on January 7th.
Upsets of former No. 1 Kansas State and former No. 2 Oregon put now-No. 1 Notre Dame and now-No. 2 Alabama on a collision course to potentially meet for the first time since 1987. Fun fact: Notre Dame is actually 5-1 vs. Alabama all-time.
Can Notre Dame take care of hated and hobbled rival USC on the road? Can Alabama defeat Georgia to win its fourth SEC Championship Game?
The mere possibility must have BCS officials salivating.
