Video: Which Call Is Worse? Last Night’s MNF Debacle Or This 2006 Classic From Oklahoma vs. Oregon?

The entire sports universe is focused on one thing today: last night’s horrendous Monday Night Football game. Almost everyone, except maybe Seahawks fans, can agree that the replacement refs made a critical mistake in awarding the Seahawks the game-winning touchdown against Green Bay, and some people consider it one of, if not the worst call in all of football history.

But there a few Oklahoma Sooners fans who’d beg to differ. They are thinking back to 2006, when a crazy game-changing call cost them the game against the Oregon Ducks. Here are some unhappy tweets.

 

 

So here’s the video of the controversial onside kick recovery that was awarded to Oregon, despite the fact that the ball didn’t travel the mandatory 10 yards and was clearly recovered by Oklahoma.
