The first half of Ohio State’s spring game was fairly boring and uneventful. Thankfully for the 50,000-plus fans in attendance at Ohio Stadium, there was some halftime entertainment.
Urban Meyer wanted to see who the fastest student on campus was, so over the past couple weeks, there were trials at the football facility. Students could come, run a 40-yard dash, and potentially be selected to race some of the football players at halftime of today’s spring game. The race took place moments ago.
In the race, student Malcolm Branson tied defensive back Doran Grant and beat speedster H-back Dontre Wilson.
An Ohio State student beat H-back Dontre Wilson in a race. Really. http://t.co/XKo8AzcgSJ

The judges call it a tie, however, and after running again Doran Grant is named the winner.

Tie or not, it was an impressive showing by Branson.
