USC Sends Email To Students For Pac-12 Title Game The Trojans Didn’t Reach

Uh-oh. Heritage Hall just had a “reply all” moment.
This morning, any USC student checking his or her email got two letters about the football team from the university ticket office. One was a letter announcing the sale of student tickets for the Sun Bowl against Georgia Tech on New Year’s Eve. The tickets are $40, three dollars cheaper than the student tickets to the game vs. UCLA.
The second letter was an announcement declaring the sale of season tickets to last Friday’s Pac-12 Championship Game, which USC wasn’t even in. Even worse, it’s clear that this email was originally written before November 17, because the letter declares SC the winners of the South Division and of the crosstown rivalry game against UCLA.
And now, here is that email for your reading pleasure.
Thank you for your support of the Trojan Football team this year. We have had a successful season so far and want to provide you with information regarding our opportunity to play in the Pac-12 Championship game on Friday, November 30. After beating our cross-town rival, UCLA, we are the South Division Champions and will play in the 2012 Pac-12 Championship Game. Since we are the South Division representative we will be traveling to play Oregon in Eugene or Stanford in Palo Alto.
The Pac-12 Championship game will be played at one of these locations on Friday, November 30th at 5pm. If you would like to see us play in our first Pac 12 Football Championship Game please request your tickets today. Unfortunately, due to the limited availability, Football Student Season Ticket Holders requests will be placed in a lottery. You are eligible for one ticket and a ticket for one guest. Your guest must also be an individual with a current football student season ticket. Only USC students are eligible to enter the lottery . Spouse/Domestic Partners are not eligible to enter. An email confirmation will be sent once you have completed your lottery entry. Please note when entering the lottery you must provide a MasterCard, Visa or Discover credit card. If you are selected in the lottery, your provided form of payment will automatically be charged on November 26th and all ticket requests regardless of the venue or opponent will be fulfilled and charged.
Somehow this is Kiffin’s fault.
