UConn’s 2013 Postseason Ban Upheld After Further Review
It looks like there wasn’t enough conclusive video evidence to overturn the University of Connecticut’s postseason ban handed down by the NCAA.
UConn had been appealing the NCAA’s decision to ban them from the 2013 postseason in basketball, but the NCAA Committee on Academic Performance upheld its initial decision, and as a result the Huskies will miss the Big East and NCAA Tournament this season, SBNation reports. The Huskies received the ban because their men’s basketball team did not hit the minimum Academic Progress Report (APR) rating over the last four years.
At least while they are sitting at home during March, they’ll have plenty of time to get ahead studying for finals.
