UConn To Play In 2013 2K Sports Classic

The UConn men’s basketball team will enter the 2013-14 season with high expectations. If that was not enough to excite fans, then Friday’s announcement from Madison Square Garden should do the trick.

Per Madison Square Garden’s sports account on Twitter, UConn will be a participant in the 2013 2K Sports Classic and will host the opening rounds at Gampel Pavilion.

As mentioned in the above tweet, Indiana, Boston College and Washington will also host the opening rounds, which are scheduled to take place between Nov. 15 and Nov. 18.

UConn’s opening round opponents have not yet been announced, but presale for the semifinals and championship – which are to take place at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 21 and Nov. 22 – is tomorrow.
