You’ve heard it before. “Team A beat Team B, and Team B beat Team C, so Team A must be better than Team C.” Ah yes, the old adage that only realistically works with numbers has reared its ugly head again. Flawed logic, of course.

After last night’s victory by Washington over Stanford, the entire Twitterverse decided to remind USC that it’d lost to the Cardinal, who’d lost to WU, who’d been crushed by LSU. And therefore?

Soo, Stanford beats USC, then gets beat by Washington, a team that LSU dominated. Point being USC was over rated just like every year.
