The Hardest (And Easiest) Non-Conference Schedules In College Football
Matt Hayes of SportingNews has published his Best and Worst Non-Conference Schedules for 2012. It should be no surprise to college football fans that, yet again, the Big 12 and the SEC boast the easiest non-conference slates of the five majors.
The SEC in particular is known for scheduling exceptionally easy non-conference opponents, but nobody can argue with the results when looking at the recent string of national champions.

However, several title favorites — USC, Virginia Tech, Michigan — will be attempting to bring home the crystal trophy while still playing quality opponents.
