Report: Wisconsin’s New Coach Gary Andersen Called All 106 Of His Former Players
Scoop: The Badgers have found their new head coach in Utah State’s Gary Andersen. Wisconsin’s official introductory press conference will take place on Friday.
Significance: Wisconsin has quickly filled its head coaching void after Bret Bielema’s unexpectedly bolted to Arkansas.
Story: It has been widely reported that Gary Andersen will become Wisconsin’s next head football coach. Andersen interviewed for the position on Monday after leading the Utah State Aggies to their first bowl victory in 19 years. According to the Wisconsin State Journal’s Tom Mulhern, Andersen called each of his 106 Utah State players to break the news personally late Tuesday night.
