Report: Ronaiah Tuiasosopo Was The Female Voice Of Lennay Kekua
We’ve officially entered The Twilight Zone with this Manti Te’o hoax story. The NY Daily News is reporting that Ronaiah Tuiasosopo’s lawyer claims that his client was the female voice impersonating “Lennay Kekua” on the other end of the 1000+ phone calls with the Notre Dame linebacker.
Milton Grimes, Tuiasosopo’s lawyer, says that his client had “vocal and dramatic training” He added:
“Come on, Hollywood does it all the time,” Grimes said Wednesday. “People can do that.”
Grimes also conveyed that Tuiasosopo had a “troubled existence” and that he wasn’t doing this to hurt anyone.
“This wasn’t a prank to make fun,” Grimes told The News. “It was establishing a communication with someone. … It was a person with a troubled existence trying to reach out and communicate and have a relationship.”
Manti Te’o's interview with Katie Couric airs later this afternoon.
