Report: Nerlens Noel Has A Torn ACL, Is Done For The Season
By now, we’ve all seen both the video and the still picture of Kentucky’s Nerlens Noel injuring his left knee last night against the Florida Gators. It’s gruesome, to say the least.
Today, Noel underwent numerous tests to determine the extent of the damage. It was released earlier this AM that x-rays were negative, meaning he’d broken no bones during the fall.
Some good news for Kentucky: X-rays show no break or fracture for Nerlens Noel. Still waiting on an MRI today, per @espnandykatz.

But unfortunately, the MRI revealed a tear to his ACL. This is crushing news for Kentucky, its fans, and of course Noel, who was slotted to potentially be the top pick in this year’s NBA Draft.

We’re hearing that Noel will have surgery in 2-3 weeks and that recovery should take around 6-8 months.
We wish Noel the best and hope that he is able to recover for a long and healthy career.
