Report: Maurice Clarett Implies He Was Paid At Ohio State
Scoop: Former Ohio State star running back Maurice Clarett is making news for comments he made in a new book about his former United Football League coach, Joe Moglia.
Significance: Clarett claimed to be “living the NFL life in college” under Jim Tressel. Ohio State is currently serving a one-year bowl ban for past NCAA infractions despite finishing this season undefeated under Urban Meyer.
Story: Just when you thought Ohio State has been punished enough for the Jim Tressel era, Maurice Clarett has resurfaced. In a new book about Joe Moglia, a former CEO turned UFL coach, Clarett said, “Away from class, anything you can think of I did in my 13 months at Ohio State.” He added, “I got paid more in college than I do now in the UFL.”
Maurice Clarett boasts that he got paid more in college than in the UFL…he also had more rushing yards and TDs in college too.
