Photo: UVA Tweets Out Pic Of New Training Camp Football Cleats

UVA’s football program had a tough 2012, finishing with a 2-6 record in the ACC. Perhaps some new gear can help resurrect the Cavaliers on the gridiron.

Virginia’s equipment Twitter handle tweeted out the new football cleats the Wahoos will be wearing during training camp in 2013. They’re going with the Nike Alpha Pro’s – of course in UVA orange. We saw a similar look from Stanford yesterday.

While this may not compete with what schools like Texas A&M, Louisville, and Nebraska are wearing, there is something to be said for a nice, clean look.

UVA will aim to return to form in the ACC in the coming years – the school had the 34th best (ESPN) recruiting class in the nation for 2013, and it currently boasts the 15th best class for 2014.
