Oregon State QB Sean Mannion Out Indefinitely
Bad news for Beavers fans: Sophomore quarterback Sean Mannion is out indefinitely after suffering a knee injury against Washington State.
Coach Mike Riley was “shocked” when he found out the news. Mannion played the entire game on Saturday.
The injury will require surgery, but the severity and exact nature of the knee injury is yet to be determined.
Junior quarterback Cody Vaz will replace Mannion and lead the No. 10 ranked team against BYU this weekend.
Riley says Vaz is ready, but the backup hasn’t played in game since 2010. Beavers fans have cause to worry since Vaz only completed six of 17 passes for a measly 48 yards.
