Now There’s A ‘Catholics vs. Confederates’ Shirt – This Needs To Stop
In the early 1990s, there was no better series in college football than Notre Dame-Miami, which was famously dubbed “Catholics vs. Convicts” after a Notre Dame student decided to sell T-Shirts with the phrase. Since that iconic shirt, many clever knock-offs have been created (a personal favorite is Catholics vs. Conifers for the Stanford game).
As you’d expect, new variations have surfaced for the January 7th championship game against Alabama. A few weeks ago, former Irish quarterback Jimmy Clausen tweeted a picture of this shirt that many Alabama fans found offensive. Now, there’s a new one by OakHillDesigns that has hit the web.
The variations keep getting more and more offensive.
