LeBron James Got A Football Offer From Notre Dame As A Sophomore In HS

The Palm Beach Post reported earlier this week that while Urban Meyer was a wide receivers coach at Notre Dame, he offered LeBron James a scholarship to play for the Fighting Irish on the gridiron.

James was an all-state wideout for St. Vincent – St. Mary High School his sophomore year but dropped the sport after his junior year to concentrate on basketball.

Meyer also expressed his “love” for the Heat organization, a sentiment that likely isn’t shared by many others in the state of Ohio.
